Established in 2017 in the Buikwe District of Uganda 80 km  from  the capital city Kampala and 120 km from Entebbe international airport Family owned – father & son, 642 acre freehold ownership Farming Matooke, Vanilla & Animal Husbandry. Current headcount 300 EU/NOP Organic certification in process aims  to  work  in  partnership with customers, giving  enhanced control over growing, harvesting and processing

WHY US

75,000 Banana and Vanilla cuttings planted in Phase1

  • Between January 2020 and August 2022
  • Average 300 plants/acre.
  • Shading - banana trees
  • Irrigation - currently rain fed, reservoir-fed system being developed
  • Expected yield at least 3kg green bean per plant
  • Fertilisation - cow or goat manure only, no chemical fertilisers used (ensures organic certification)

  • 2 warehouses for processing and storage
  • In-house processing facility for frozen Matooke and Vanilla processing
  • Linked-chain fencing surrounded by perimeter road
  • Own reservoir (with dam) for irrigation, fed by natural springs
  • Support trees – Jatropha and Moringa
  • Develop out-grower schemes with local farmers by providing free cuttings
  • Awareness programs to harvest mature vanilla and improve quality of Ugandan vanilla
